Welding fixtures, checking fixtures and panel checkers, assembly and inspection fixtures and drill jigs — delivering high precision for Ranjangaon's MNCs.
Locate, clamp and check the same way every time — the basis of consistent production and quality.
Jigs and fixtures hold a component in a precise, repeatable position so it can be machined, welded, assembled or inspected consistently. At Precision Industries we design and manufacture welding fixtures, checking fixtures and panel checkers, assembly and inspection fixtures, and drill jigs for automotive and general engineering.
Every fixture is designed around your component in CAD, with locators, rest pads and clamps positioned to your datum scheme so that measurement correlates with your CMM and drawing. Fixture bodies and details are machined on our Haas VMC and finished to hold location within tight tolerances.
For automotive customers we build welding fixtures and BIW-style locating fixtures, and checking fixtures (panel checkers) that let the line verify formed and stamped panels quickly on the shop floor. Poka-yoke features can be built in to prevent mis-loading.

Home to major consumer durables, electronics, and automotive multinationals, Ranjangaon MIDC requires fixtures that deliver impeccable cosmetic finishes alongside strict dimensional accuracy. Precision Industries designs specialized assembly and checking fixtures that ensure delicate components are located and clamped without scratching or marring the surface. We utilize specialized non-marking clamps, urethane rest pads, and highly polished locating pins tailored for consumer product assembly lines. For Ranjangaon's automotive sector, we provide highly accurate panel checkers and gap-and-flush gauges that allow line operators to instantly verify the aesthetic and geometric fit of exterior body panels, ensuring every product meets the highest global quality standards.
Ensuring every locator and datum point correlates perfectly with your part drawing.
A jig or fixture is the physical embodiment of your component's datum scheme. If the fixture is inaccurate, every part produced or inspected on it will be fundamentally flawed. At Precision Industries, we guarantee the accuracy of our fixtures through rigorous in-house precision machining and comprehensive metrology, operating strictly under our ISO 9001:2015 quality framework.
The foundation of our accuracy lies in our machining capabilities. All critical fixture bodies, base plates, and complex locating blocks are machined on our high-precision Haas Vertical Machining Centers (VMC). This eliminates the stack-up tolerances often associated with multi-setup conventional machining. For critical locating pins, rest pads, and drill bushes, we utilize advanced wire-cut EDM to achieve profile tolerances of ±0.005 mm. This ensures that every contact point on the fixture aligns flawlessly with the theoretical CAD model.
Validation is equally critical. We do not rely on conventional measurement for complex 3D profiles. Every checking fixture, panel checker, and critical assembly jig undergoes comprehensive Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) verification. We measure the physical locators against the 3D CAD data to confirm absolute spatial accuracy. We provide a detailed inspection report mapping every datum point, guaranteeing that your new fixture will correlate perfectly with your internal quality control systems and your end customer's specifications.
Engineered for durability, repeatability, and error-free operation on the shop floor.
Shop floor environments are harsh. Fixtures are subjected to impact, weld spatter, extreme clamping forces, and relentless cyclical use. A fixture built with inferior materials or poor structural design will quickly lose calibration, leading to rejected parts. Precision Industries engineers jigs and fixtures explicitly designed to withstand these punishing conditions while maintaining their calibrated accuracy over years of service.
We begin with a stable foundation. Fixture base plates are typically machined from stress-relieved steel or high-grade precision-cast aluminum to prevent long-term warping. We never use soft materials for contact points. Every locator, rest pad, and guide bush is manufactured from high-carbon, high-chromium tool steels (like D2 or D3) or EN31, and subsequently vacuum heat-treated to HRC 58-62. This extreme hardness prevents wear from repeated component loading and unloading, ensuring the datum positions remain absolute.
Furthermore, our engineering team integrates intelligent Poka-Yoke (error-proofing) into the core design of every fixture. By incorporating asymmetric locating pins, interference blocks, and specific clamping sequences, we make it physically impossible for an operator to load a component backward or incorrectly. This critical design philosophy drastically reduces scrap, prevents damage to the fixture, and guarantees that every assembly or inspection operation is performed correctly, every single time.

A checking fixture (panel checker) is a datum-referenced gauge that holds a formed or stamped panel in a fixed position so operators can verify profile, holes and trim against the drawing on the shop floor — without a CMM for every part.
Yes. We design in poka-yoke features such as asymmetric locators and presence checks so a component cannot be loaded incorrectly, cutting defects and rework.
Yes — fixtures are built to your datum and GD&T scheme so shop-floor checks correlate with your CMM and part drawing.
Stable steel or aluminium base plates with hardened locators, rest pads and bushes at wear points for long-term repeatability.
Yes — welding and BIW-style locating fixtures that clamp sheet metal parts for consistent, distortion-controlled welding of sub-assemblies.
From Pimpri MIDC we serve Pimpri-Chinchwad, Bhosari, Chakan, Talegaon and the wider Pune corridor, with dispatch across Maharashtra.
We design the checking fixture strictly based on the 3D CAD model and the designated GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) datum scheme. The fixture itself is then inspected on a CMM to verify that all locators and rest pads match the theoretical coordinates. This guarantees that a part passing on our fixture will also pass on your CMM.
Distortion from heat is the biggest challenge in welding. We design our welding fixtures with massive, stress-relieved base structures to resist bending. More importantly, we strategically place heavy-duty toggle or pneumatic clamps close to the weld zones, holding the components rigidly in place while the metal heats and cools, minimizing warpage.
Calibration frequency depends entirely on the volume of usage and the harshness of the environment. However, for high-volume automotive production, we generally recommend a complete CMM calibration check every 6 to 12 months. We use hardened wear pads (HRC 58-62) to maximize the time between necessary recalibrations.
Yes. For complex BIW welding fixtures, large assembly jigs, or critical panel checkers, our engineering team can provide on-site support at your facility. We assist with the initial setup, run pilot batches to prove out the fixture's capability, and make any necessary micro-adjustments to the locators to ensure perfect integration with your production line.
